About a strange phenomenon in EEVA Pro
Hello dear friends and administrators!
For some time I have observed a strange phenomenon that I can’t interpret. Distinguished colleagues, who are at the forefront of our profession and whose creativity, I believe, we all admired, have resigned their pro accounts and have settled on some less visible positions in order to present their work. I respect their decision and the freedom of choice, of course, but can’t understand the reasons for this voluntary derating. Since the phenomenon is noticeable enough and such a topic has not been discussed I get the impression that it is only I who is not aware of the reasons for these actions. Therefore I would be very grateful if you share your opinion and reveal the reasons for this strange phenomenon. I send you my best wishes for health and inspiration! Выдающиеся коллеги , чье творчество, я верю, радовало нас всех, начали отказываться от премиум аккаунтов, выбирая показывать свою работу с задних позиций. Конечно, я уважаю их решение и их свободу выбора, но не могу объяснить причины такого добровольного “деклассирования“. Поскольку явление достаточно видно, в то время как соответствующая тема не обсужадалсь, у меня складывается впечатление, что только я не в курсе причин такого поведения. I just read to you, and I meet you on the content. I am also one of those who will not renew their subscription. Why ?
• I like the politeness. Each time I wrote to the management of EEVA, I never had an answer.
• EEVA is not very “open mind”. EEVA is not very “tolerant”. EEVA does not accept an another way of film writing. For EEVA, a Wedding film without slider, dolly, steadycam, drone, slow motion, etc. is not a “good" film. Who knows Ozu, Depardon, Bresson, Penn, Tarr, etc. as directors at EEVA ? Most of the video directors here only copy the American video directors. Where is the Slavonic spirit ?
I have the right to not like zoom, panoramic, slow motion, direction, pose, Etc. I only like wide shots or close shots. I like shots which gives time to time. I do not have to impose a rhythm. My readers take time to look at what they want inside a shot.
Today we have a real image dictatorship with a frenzied consumption of images. Who knows how to realize a movie shot upper to 3 seconds ?
For 22 years, I filmed and i film Events in Belgium, China, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Morocco, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, United States… Who cares at EEVA. On May 21st, I will be in Kansas City. Nobody cares at EEVA because I am not “Show Off”…
Here, everything is staged. No spontaneity. Everything is to “Copy Pas". The same movie Saturday after Saturday. Who knows to realize a film without pose ? I do. I never asked, in 22 years, to someone to pose for me. I only like the reality of an event. A Wedding is not Hollywood…
If I have a “certain" success for 22 years, it is because I propose something else than it everybody makes. The important is not the pencil. The important is the writing.
