EEVA is an autonomous non-profit association owned by its members and managed by the board of elected Executive Members. Each member agrees to act in accordance with our Code of Practice, and to strive to maintain the highest levels of production competence and professionalism in their work.

EEVA currently has 500 members. The participants come from a wide range of locations in Europe. The organisation has also set up several regional branches.

With the Executive Committee being actively involved in professional event videography, it naturally follows that EEVA membership is both relevant and beneficial to professional event & wedding videographers. The Executive is always looking for new benefits of membership - and to improve on the existing benefits - so that EEVA Membership continues to be a valuable service to the industry. The current Executive"s future vision sees the EEVA keeping pace with the rapidly-changing media industry, embracing new technology for the needs of the multitasking event video professional. 

  • Promoting professional event & wedding Videography as an effective business tool;
  • Promoting professional event & wedding Videography as an art form;
  • Making EEVA a reliable source of information for clients;
  • Training operators and video editors; organizing contests, workshops and seminars;
  • Developing and promoting unified standards of professional wedding video filming on the Russian market;
  • Copyright protection; increasing videographer's legal awareness;
  • Promoting Qualified Members of the EEVA.
  • Attract new members in Europe;
  • Organize annual general and regional contests among the EEVA members; 
  • Publish and distribute video collections based on the results of the contests;
  • Promote the works of EEVA members on the Internet;
  • Organize online social work aimed at raising client's awareness;
  • Provide legal support and counselling to wedding videographers and video editors;
  • Organize regular professional workshops and seminars on state-of-the-art video equipment, filming technology and picture processing.

Methods

  • Providing assistance to beginning videographers and video editors in the implementation of their creative concepts;
  • Supporting video professionals;
  • Creating the venue and conditions for creative development and exchange of experience (online conferences, forums, the web site);
  • Regular conventions, exhibitions and workshops for EEVA members and other professionals who have not yet joined EEVA.
  • Administrative and informational support of outstanding professionals, promoting them among potential clients and experts.
  • Maintaining relations with other creative associations, clubs and organizations both in Russia and the rest of the world.
  • Analyzing international practice, collaborating with wedding videographers organizations in other countries.
  • Promoting the creative work of talented wedding videographers among the general public
  • Regular coverage of EEVA performance in the media and on the web.

EEVA does not have any external financing that is why it can raise and use the funds both of its members and of outside organisations.

In recent years the EEVA has organized 22 open meetings (in Russia - in Moscow, Moscow Region, Vladivostok, Kazan, Voronezh, Almaty and other cities) and invited the most outstanding and talented video professionals in the region, prospective colleagues  interested in mastering new technologies and techniques of wedding video filming. The meetings were attended by the members of the board, the most reputable videographers of the region, and the representatives of local businesses who viewed the participants of these events as their target customers. This Union of Wedding Videographers (SSV) was formed in April 2007. The name was changed to European Event Videographers Association (EEVA), in 2010 todistinguish the masters of wedding videography and other videographers. In 2011 the Association moved its headquarters from Russia to Europe. With more than 500 members in 31 countries, EEVA is the newest, non-profit trade association for professional videographers in Europe.

EEVA is an association that seeks to help its members advance their careers by increasing the members’businessacumen as well as broaden their creative range. In fact, their mission is as follows:

EEVA, a European association, exists to assist its members in achieving their professional, artistic, and fraternal goals; to promote public awareness of the profession; and to advance the making of images in all of its disciplines as an art, a science and a visual recorder of history.

EEVA PHOTO-VIDEO FORUM (www.fstvf.com) - the annual convention for Professional Videographers of Europe is the big videographic convention, expo and image exhibition in the Europe. It provides a Forum for professionals to network with and to learn from the best videographers in the world. The accompanying tradeshow offers a look at the latest technologies and products available to the professional videographer.
